Eton is a charming small town just across the river from Windsor, few visitors to the area will want to miss the High Street. Best known for Eton College, the famous public school favoured by both Royals and politicians alike. The High Street has an eclectic mix of antique and curio shops, café’s (Try Gilbeys), commercial art galleries, and stores catering to the College’s students.

You can’t get more quintessentially English than beautiful Eton High Street. A mere 10 minute walk over the bridge from central Windsor, it is well worth talking the trip over the Thames.
The high Street is home to a wealth of quirky and individual shops. Most note worthy are Natures Purest (home to the most gorgeous selection of organic baby gifts) and Jam (a great gift shop and gallery).
So often Eton is ignored in favour of Windsor, but for a more relaxed shopping atmosphere, cheaper parking and a wealth of different stores, visit Eton!
