Tucked away in the corner of Windsors old shopping arcade you will find this little gem of a restaurant – just look for the life sized cow model parked outside. It has stylish and cosy decor inside but there is also the opportunity to eat al fresco. A simple menu of various burgers, ribs, and steaks complimented by an array of tasty side dishes. We plumped for half a rack of piri-piri pork ribs and the buffalo mozzarella and harissa burger. The first was generous in size, tangy and perfectly cooked if lacking a little bit of that spicy piri-piri punch, the second was big, perfectly seasoned and the big fat pickle strewn across the top was more than welcome – one of the tastiest burgers I’ve had in a while. We had sides of coleslaw and chips, the latter of which were cooked with their jackets left on giving them a lovely earthy flavour. If your’e hungry and looking for non-complicated tasty food the Cattle Grid is your place.
